Follow up
I’m the first to agree that there’s a fine line between persistence and pestering. It’s finer with some prospects than others for sure. Let’s face it, on occasions you might over step the mark. I certainly have. But here’s the thing. If you don’t follow up and follow up again. And maybe again – you stand to lose big time. If you don’t follow up someone else will.
Follow up when you can’t get hold of someone.
Follow up when you can get hold of someone.
Follow up after every meeting.
Follow up when you say you’re going to do something.
Follow up when you need answer – yes or no – you need to know.
You get the message?
So to the young guy from the photo copier place who knocked on my door, gave me his business card and who I never heard from again. – Guess what? I bought off someone else…
To the guy who reached out with a sales pitch via linkedIn.com and never called me. – Damn! Why haven’t you followed up?
Follow up – It’s easy.
